Seattle, WA-based Rad Power Bikes Launches European Subscription-Based Rentals
Seattle-based Rad Power Bikes has launched a new subscription-based rental program in Europe in partnership with Cycle, which offers riders an affordable alternative to e-bike ownership.
The new service is now live and available to riders in Berlin, Germany at a cost of €79.90 per month. At the moment, there are only two Rad Power e-bikes included in the program: the RadRunner, and the RadWagon electric cargo bike.
Subscriptions include access to Cycle’s mobile app which allows riders to quickly and easily book repairs.
The new program will pit Rad Power against similar subscription-based e-bike rental services in Berlin, and if successful, the brand can leverage Cycle’s European network to expand throughout 50+ additional cities throughout Europe.
Vässla Releases First Electric Bike — the 250W Pedal
Swedish micromobility startup Vässla has just unveiled its first electric bike which features a striking, minimalist aesthetic, internally routed cables, and a uniquely designed frame. Designed for comfort, the Vässla Pedal is powered by a 250-watt rear hub motor (45Nm of torque) and removable battery that’s reported to deliver up to 62 miles of range on a single charge.
