Rungu Dualie XR Rubicon Trail Edition Review: E-Bike Overview
As mentioned previously, this e-bike is the top model in Rungu’s Dualie series. It comes with a BAFANG 1120W mid-drive motor and twin 52V 18Ah batteries, providing riders with unbelievable power and a maximum range of 296 miles per charge. Built to handle a max climbing gradient of 50%, this is a serious ride that’s capable of mind-blowing performance.
The bike’s frame is carefully crafted from high-grade 6061 aluminum alloy, and the front suspension fork pairs well with the 26-inch by 4.8-inch MAXXIS fat tires to deliver a comfortable ride and unparalleled performance in snow, mud, gravel, and on sandy beaches. The grip pattern on these chunky tires provides excellent all-terrain traction, and there’s really nowhere you can’t go on this beast of a bike.
Stopping power is provided by 180mm dual-piston hydraulic disc brakes which do a nice job of controlling this heavy bike, even during steep descents.
The Dualie XR Rubicon Trail Edition also comes equipped with a full-color LCD display by BAFANG, and riders have the option of several pedal-assist modes or throttle-only mode.

Performance and Ride
Truth be told, this bike is one of the best off-road fat tire e-bikes money can buy. Thanks to the bike’s unique design and carefully selected componentry, this ride leads the pack when it comes to tackling rough terrain.
Incredibly easy to balance and steer, it’s comfortable and easy to ride no matter what surface you’re on.
Braking performance is also impressive, providing plenty of stopping power to control this heavy e-bike whenever needed.
Also, this bike is an absolute powerhouse, with more than enough torque for steep hill climbing and heavy towing tasks. The range is also unbelievable with battery life for days, due to Rungu’s use of twin high-capacity batteries.

Made to order and hand-built in Santa Ana, CA, all Rungu bikes pass a 40-point inspection and test ride prior to shipping and the company has an excellent track record of standing behind everything it makes.
