    Sending it back…

    Rated 1.0 out of 5
    November 1, 2023

Horrible customer service! Received my new bike, it lasted 10 minutes and lost all power and went blank. Hold for 30 minutes then they hang up. Tried the messaging and they didn’t send a replacement part. They said they would after checking back 4 days later. Also sent me the wrong spare battery and aren’t dealing with that either. I’m packing it up and sending it back!

    Don’t buy one…

    Rated 1.0 out of 5
    October 18, 2022

I purchased a QuietKat Ambush ebike a few years ago at Western Archery in Salida, Colorado, since I’ve had this piece of s@*# it’s done nothing but break down…. just hauling it in the back of my pick up the plastic kickstand broke and the pedals fell off… after the first 75 miles something went wrong with the sensors and the bike had a mind of its own…I also purchased an extra remanufactured battery. That should have been a warning sign… I also purchased the single-axle trailer to go with the bike and front and rear fenders. The front fender where it is attached under the handlebars is a joke. It fell off and broke after 2 miles… junk. I would not recommend these ebikes to anyone unless you want it broken more than you ride it. I have 200 miles on it now and even after I put lock tire on the pedals the entire pedal armature fell off… junk. Don’t buy one… I’d give it a negative star but that’s not available.

    Perform phenomenally…

    Rated 5.0 out of 5
    July 8, 2022

This is the second bike purchased from QuietKat. Both bikes perform phenomenally. The first, a Ranger 7.5, medium frame. The second, a Warrior medium frame. The Warrior 10 has better geometry for my body type (long torso, short arms and legs..think gorilla on bike). Shipping can be problematic. The use FedEx ground, the most unreliable and careless of all companies. First bike received damage in shipping, arriving 2 days late for no other reason as somebody didn’t want to load it on the delivery truck. The second bike sent, I refused delivery after being 6 days late, travelling throughout the Pacific Northwest and not stopping at the destination incurring significant damage to the shipping box. After demanding that FedEx ground not be used, FedEx Freight (a whole different kind of delivery…on pallet and wrapped in protective covering) the bike was received in perfect condition…demand that your bike be ship that way.

The bikes are built for off road, rugged terrain. I have used mine for hunting high in the Rockies to out in the high desert, sage dominated flats. both have power to spare, however the Warrior 10 with the mid-drive and 33% more power makes for a more comfortable ride as I feel much more in control and not having to struggle in difficult areas.

Range is more than acceptable for off road use. 25 miles or so if you do some work and stay off of the throttle. Both bikes have removable throttles and can be made into Cat 1 bikes, but come shipped as Cat 2 or as uncategorized in the case of the Warrior 10. Simple programing will allow you to adjust if you need to to make Cat 1. Customer service is good, technical questions are slow to be answered, but QuietKat puts out a series of videos, both on the website and in YouTube that answer 95% of the questions you may have. The are short, well produced and informative and well done by Spinks (the goofy hat guy).

Rugged…I have plunked mine over numerous times in very rough terrain (controlled crashes..think Arty Johnson from Laugh In) when I knew I was in over my head. No damage at all. These are heavy bikes and it take some upper body strength to really get the most out of the bikes. The single wheel trailer is “floppy” and I do not recommend it for anything but gently rolling or flat terrain. The two wheeled trailer can carry heavy loads and is stable, but not made for single track trails.

If you are going to use your bike on moderately hilly terrain and technical trails I recommend the mid-drive Warrior. It is a more natural bike feel with the full range of gears with the power assist drive using the chain to power the rear wheels. mild hills and flat ground the Ranger hub drive is more than adequate.

Accessories: Do get the suspension seat post, your butt will thank you. I recommend the two wheel trailer. An extra battery, though expensive, for me is a requirement for hunting as I solar recharge, off-grid, while hunting.

I recommend as a “buy” if you are in the market for a sturdy, durable hunting bike.
