Magicycle Ocelot Pro Review: E-Bike Overview
With its smaller frame size and step-through design, the Ocelot Pro is a great alternative to Magicycle’s CRUISER e-bike if you’re a smaller rider or someone who suffers from limited mobility (we also recommend checking out Magicycle’s new Jaguarundi). This full-featured, all-terrain ride is well-equipped and packs a serious punch, with a powerful 750W rear hub motor and huge 52V 20Ah LG battery (the same configuration used by Magicycle in its new top-of-the-line Cruiser Pro model).
Capable of delivering up to 80 miles of range, the Ocelot Pro is an ideal electric bike for long-range trips, and the Kenda fat tires and hydraulic front fork suspension deliver excellent handling, both on the road and off.
The handsome step-through frame looks extremely nice on this bike, and the downtube-integrated battery gives off a polished, premium vibe. Magicycle also throws in front and rear fenders — a nice bonus that helps to keep the rider clean and dry.
If you’re someone who enjoys shopping runs, there’s also a rear cargo rack that’s convenient for securing shopping bags and other items. The rear rack is also great for hauling camping gear and other supplies.
The Ocelot Pro also features an upgraded, full-color LCD display. In addition to being easy to read, it also provides USB charging capabilities, giving riders an easy way to keep phones and other small accessories charged up while out on the trail.
Last but not least, Magicycle includes a LED headlight and integrated rear taillight for improved safety and low-light visibility.
Size and Weight
Ideal for riders between 4’10” and 6’2″, you don’t need to be tall to enjoy this new Magicycle e-bike. The Ocelot Pro measures 69.92″ long with a 45.43″ wheelbase, and the bike has a standover height of 15.35″. The handlebar height is 43.31″, and you can adjust the Ocelot Pro’s seat from 27.91″ to 37.91″.

Performance and Ride
Magicycle’s Ocelot Pro is an extremely easy-to-ride bike that gets high marks for comfort and stability. The rugged fat tires and front suspension fork deliver great off-road handling, absorbing bumps and smoothing out rough terrain.
The bike’s powerful 52V 20Ah battery and 750-watt rear hub motor provide riders with an impressive amount of power and range, and the Ocelot Pro can climb steep hills and tackle challenging off-road conditions with ease. Speed and torque delivery are both excellent and acceleration up hills is effortless.
The Ocelot Pro’s stopping power is also outstanding, thanks to the upgraded hydraulic brakes which perform much better than the standard mechanical brakes used on the Magicycle CRUISER and CRUISER STEP-THRU models. The responsive 180mm Tektro hydraulic brakes offer strong braking force and shorten the distance required to bring the bike to a complete stop.
Build Quality
Magicycle’s Ocelot Pro arrives well-packed and assembly is a simple process, thanks to Magicycle’s detailed video tutorial. As with Magicycle’s other e-bikes, build quality is great and the included components are of good quality.
Appearance
An unassuming bike, the Ocelot Pro features a handsome design and the Pearl White finish is well done. We would like to see Magicycle add some alternative color options in the future.
Unlike many other step-through frame fat bikes with externally-mounted batteries, the Magicycle Ocelot Pro comes with a battery that’s neatly integrated into the bike’s downtube. This results in a far nicer-looking bike in our opinion, and the Magicycle branding is tastefully executed.
Included Accessories & Optional Add-ons
Included with the Ocelot Pro is a headlight, rear cargo rack, front and rear fenders, and bicycle repair tool kit. In addition to the bundled accessories, Magicycle also offers a wide range of optional add-on accessories, including pannier bags, brakes, batteries, pumps, and more.
Warranty & Customer Support
Each Magicycle bike comes with a generous 2-year warranty which provides customers with plenty of coverage in the event of a manufacturing defect. Additionally, the brand throws in a 15-day money-back guarantee without the hefty restocking fees charged by many other consumer-direct e-bike companies. If a return is made, customers are only responsible for a $150 return shipping fee.
Customers can reach Magicycle via telephone, email, and live chat on the company’s website. In our experience, the company is quick to respond, and they typically send same-day replies to emailed inquiries…

Operator safety should be the primary concern…
Test riding today revealed hidden (unadvertised) feature…cruise control. It sounds great, but it comes on unanticipated after 8 seconds of continuous throttle use, deactivated by tapping brakes or twisting throttle on/off. According to their rep on YouTube live today, this feature can not be disabled permanently by the user. Also, throttle only use must be during PAS 1-7, not PAS 0 (no power assist). Every form of transportation machine I know of that has cruise control is operator controlled, this Ocelot Pro is not, it is engineered in. Operator safety should be the primary concern, not convenience of use.

Another impressive model from Magicycle, the Ocelot Pro was designed from the ground up with comfort and versatility in mind. Ideal for smaller riders and the over 60 crowd, this e-bike comes with some great features and is perfect for daily use as a commuter, longer-range touring bike, for light trail duty, or for around-town cruising.
Featuring excellent durability and solid build quality, the Ocelot Pro has nice upright geometry and butterfly-shaped handlebars for top-shelf comfort and easy adjustment. We really like the frame design and componentry on this ride, and the bike provides a really nice riding experience overall.
