Lectric XPremium Review: E-Bike Overview
The Lectric XPremium folding electric bike is a truly top-of-the-line model. Boasting a powerful motor that kicks out 850W of peak output, this powerhouse has enough torque and acceleration to tackle steep hill climbs with ease. Add in the massive dual-battery design and you’ve got a bike that delivers an impressive range of 100+ miles on a single charge — making the XPremium a fantastic choice for deliveries, commuting, and overnight e-bike camping trips.
When it comes to stopping power, the Lectric XPremium’s Tektro hydraulic disc brakes do exactly what they’re supposed to. With 160mm rotors, these brakes provide plenty of control when it’s needed — something that’s important on a bike of this size (75 lbs). The next-level stopping power gives you the confidence to tackle more adventurous terrain.
The XPremium also features a rear rack for hauling your gear, and its LCD display is easy to read even at night.
The size and construction of the adjustable front fork suspension deliver a comfy ride even on rough terrain (and you get 80mm of travel compared to only 40mm on the Lectric XP 2.0). Additionally, the 20″ x 4″ fat tires provide a very large contact patch, giving you the ability to conquer pavement, sand, mud, gravel, and snow.
The Lectric XPremium also has a step-through frame, which makes it easy to mount and dismount. This makes it a great e-bike for seniors and those with mobility problems. The folding frame also makes this bike super portable; it can be easily folded down into a compact size for convenient storage and transport.
Optimal for riders between 4’8″ and 6’2″, Lectric’s XPremium fat tire electric bike weighs 75 lbs and measures 74″ x 25″ x 48″. When folded, it measures 40″ x 22″ x 32″ which makes it easy to throw into a vehicle or stow away in a small space for storage. The bike has a 19″ standover height, and the seat height is adjustable from 32″ to 39″. Lastly, the handlebars are 25″ wide and have a 20″ reach.

A high-performance ride in a shockingly affordable folding package, the Lectric XPremium is designed to deliver maximum rider enjoyment. With a range of more than 100 miles per charge, you’ll have no problem reaching your final destination, and the powerful mid-drive motor packs a serious amount of punch that comes in handy for fast, off-the-line acceleration and tough hill-climbing adventures. The XPremium also provides plenty of power for tackling challenging off-road terrain and the dynamic torque sensor provides exceptional motor responsiveness with natural-feeling power delivery.
Last but not least, this bike is well-balanced and handles well on pavement and off, making it a versatile ride that can handle everything from city errands to backcountry exploration.
The Lectric brand is highly regarded when it comes to build quality, and the XPremium does not disappoint. The bike arrives well-packed and assembled from the factory, and it’s an impressively sturdy folding e-bike that’s built to last by a company that is serious about quality.
In terms of looks, the XPremium is a head-turner, with its step-through frame, rear cargo rack, and front suspension fork. The chunky fat tires tell you that this is a ride that’s capable of taking you wherever you need to go, and the bike definitely gives off a utilitarian vibe overall.
While Lectric does offer riders two basic color options (white and black), we find that a bit disappointing given the fact that this is the brand’s flagship model. As mentioned in our XP 3.0 review, it would be nice to see some additional color options, such as Lectric Blue and Sandstorm that are available for the entry-level XP Lite bike (it’s a little surprising to us that there are better color options available for their most affordable ride than for this top-of-the-line model).
Lectric’s XPremium comes loaded with extras, including a rear cargo rack, front and rear lighting, and mudguards. It also has a heavy-duty kickstand, and if you require additional cargo capacity, you can opt for Lectric’s Cargo Package upgrade which includes a front rack, a small basket, and a large basket. Additionally, there’s a Comfort Bundle add-on that you can purchase which comes with a larger, upgraded seat and suspension seat post.
In addition to these upgrade bundles, Lectric also sells an impressive range of high-quality replacement parts and accessories. In Lectric’s online store, you’ll find batteries, helmets, e-bike racks, and more.
As far as warranties go, Lectric bicycles come with a pretty standard 1-year warranty. Where Lectric really stands out is with its customer service department. Highly regarded as one of the best in the industry, Lectric’s US-based customer service team always goes above and beyond to take great care of their customers.
Reaching out to Lectric’s customer service team is also quite simple. There are several contact options available, including telephone, email, and a contact form on their website.
Whenever we’re rating an electric bicycle, we always test the responsiveness of the company’s customer service department. We’re happy to report that Lectric outperformed the vast majority of consumer-direct electric bike brands we’ve reviewed, picking up the phone quickly every time we’ve called the company and also answering our emailed inquiries within a few hours.
Really love this bike…
This bike takes everything I throw at it. It is comfortable, agile, great on hills, and is not shy of semi gnarl off road. However, taking this bike off road is like taking a new Cadillac on a Jeep trail. Lots of fun but probably not a great idea.
I really love this bike and the stretch wheel base. The extra suspension along with the mid drive makes for a comfortable and intuitive ride, while delivering great power and torque when called upon to do so.
