When it comes to stopping power, the Lectric XPremium’s Tektro hydraulic disc brakes do exactly what they’re supposed to. With 160mm rotors, these brakes provide plenty of control when it’s needed — something that’s important on a bike of this size (75 lbs). The next-level stopping power gives you the confidence to tackle more adventurous terrain.
The XPremium also features a rear rack for hauling your gear, and its LCD display is easy to read even at night.
The size and construction of the adjustable front fork suspension deliver a comfy ride even on rough terrain (and you get 80mm of travel compared to only 40mm on the Lectric XP 2.0). Additionally, the 20″ x 4″ fat tires provide a very large contact patch, giving you the ability to conquer pavement, sand, mud, gravel, and snow.

Appearance

While Lectric does offer riders two basic color options (white and black), we find that a bit disappointing given the fact that this is the brand’s flagship model. As mentioned in our XP 3.0 review, it would be nice to see some additional color options, such as Lectric Blue and Sandstorm that are available for the entry-level XP Lite bike (it’s a little surprising to us that there are better color options available for their most affordable ride than for this top-of-the-line model).

Lectric’s XPremium comes loaded with extras, including a rear cargo rack, front and rear lighting, and mudguards. It also has a heavy-duty kickstand, and if you require additional cargo capacity, you can opt for Lectric’s Cargo Package upgrade which includes a front rack, a small basket, and a large basket. Additionally, there’s a Comfort Bundle add-on that you can purchase which comes with a larger, upgraded seat and suspension seat post.

Really love this bike…
This bike takes everything I throw at it. It is comfortable, agile, great on hills, and is not shy of semi gnarl off road. However, taking this bike off road is like taking a new Cadillac on a Jeep trail. Lots of fun but probably not a great idea.
I really love this bike and the stretch wheel base. The extra suspension along with the mid drive makes for a comfortable and intuitive ride, while delivering great power and torque when called upon to do so.
