    Performance and Ride

A super responsive ride that’s nimble and easy to handle, the Lectric XP Lite is the perfect match for around-town errands and daily commutes.

The XP Lite’s ride is a bit stiffer than the Lectric XP 2.0 and XP 3.0, with its slimmed-down tires and lack of both front suspension fork and fenders. But all things considered, it’s a very affordable e-bike that’s perfect for urban commutes, and for students who are on a tight budget. So if you’re looking for a fun and reliable ride at a price that can’t be beat, Lectric’s XP Lite deserves to be on your shortlist.

    Build Quality

Lectric has a solid reputation for building high-quality e-bikes and their XP Lite model shows why. The bike arrives well-packed and fully assembled, and the construction of the bike is on point. With this package, there’s a lot of value for the money and at this price point, it’s pretty tough to beat. Additionally, if any problems arise (as they sometimes do with any brand), Lectric has a fantastic reputation for quickly taking care of customer problems.

    Appearance

The Lectric XP Lite is a stylish folding electric bike that is available in four really nice colorways — Arctic White, Midnight Black, Lectric Blue (our fave), and Sandstorm. Unlike Lectric’s other electric bikes, the XP Lite has a more minimalist vibe due to the fact that it has no rear rack, fenders, or suspension.

    Included Accessories & Optional Add-ons

As mentioned, the Lectric XP Lite is a trimmed-down ride that’s more minimalist than the brand’s other folding e-bikes. It does come with a few extras such as front and rear lights, a phone mount, and a bike lock.

Lectric does offer two upgrade packages — the “Comfort Package” which includes a giant seat and suspension seat post and the “Carry Package” which includes a front rack, rear rack, and pannier bag. Additionally, Lectric sells a full range of accessories and replacement parts, including cargo baskets, helmets, batteries, car racks, and more.

    Warranty & Customer Support

Every Lectric bike comes with a 1-year warranty, which covers customers in the event of a manufacturing defect. And when it comes to customer service, Lectric makes it easy for customers to get in touch, with several contact options including phone, email, and a website contact form. What sets Lectric apart from most other consumer-direct e-bike companies is that its customer service team is completely US-based (something that’s a very valuable perk for Lectric’s customers).

As part of our electric bike reviews, we always test the responsiveness of each brand’s customer service department. In our experience, the best way to reach Lectric’s customer service team is by phone. It is super quick and easy to get a friendly agent on the line. Your next best option is via email — most inquiries tend to receive a response within a few hours. We found that Lectric’s contact form takes a bit longer.

That said, Lectric has a well-deserved reputation for providing one of the best customer service experiences in the industry. Unlike some companies that abandon customers after a sale is made, Lectric is always available to assist and does a great job of standing behind the bikes it makes.
