The Himiway Zebra also packs some nice upgrades in the form of hydraulic disc brakes and a larger, longer-range Samsung/LG battery.

Performance and Ride
The overall ride quality of Himiway’s Zebra is excellent, offering riders a smooth, comfortable riding experience with top-notch stability. Stopping power is also amazing, thanks to the Tektro 180mm hydraulic disc brakes.
The Himiway Zebra is the perfect e-bike for the rider who wants to do a little bit of everything, providing capable off-road handling as well as a comfortable commuting experience. Serious off-road enthusiasts would be better served by something like Himiway’s Cobra, but for light trail duty and backcountry cruising, the Zebra is fully capable.
We’ve always been big fans of fat tire e-bikes, and the Zebra doesn’t disappoint. Offering riders top-shelf versatility and handling, the beefy 26-inch x 4-inch Kenda fat tires deliver a comfy ride, no matter the terrain. Able to perform well in snow, sand, mud, and gravel, the Himiway Zebra instills a lot of confidence in the rider and it can take you pretty much anywhere you’d want to go.
Up front, the adjustable lockout suspension does a nice job of smoothing out bumps and the powerful 750W hub motor at the rear delivers the power needed to tackle steep hills and rough terrain. As you’d expect from Himiway, the Zebra is a fast bike that will get you where you need to go in a hurry, making it a great choice for around-town jaunts and daily commutes. The bike comes with 5 pedal-assist levels and there’s also a throttle mode for those times when you’re tired of pedaling.
Lastly, the 2023 Himiway Zebra comes with a massive 960Wh battery that’s neatly integrated into the bike’s downtube. We’re very impressed with the Zebra’s battery capacity which provides riders with a max range of 80 miles. This is a nice upgrade over the Cruiser’s max range of 60 miles, making it a good choice for those who need a larger battery and slightly better battery life.
Build Quality
Overall, the Himiway Zebra’s build quality is very good. The frame is well-constructed and the bike’s brand name componentry is high-quality.
Appearance
A handsome ride that’s available in two colors (Grey and White), the Himiway Zebra gives off a premium vibe when compared to the brand’s entry-level Cruiser. The bike’s massive battery is neatly integrated into the Zebra’s downtube for a stealthier appearance, and the rear rack and full fenders add a touch of utilitarian elegance.
Included Accessories & Optional Add-ons
As Himiway is known to do, the company includes a few bonuses with the Zebra, including a 16-in-1 multi-tool and baseball cap. The bike also includes a set of front and rear fenders as well as a rear cargo rack with a premium wood top.
Additionally, Himiway sells a large range of optional add-on accessories, including racks, waterproof pannier bags, replacement batteries, child seats, helmets, and more.
Warranty & Customer Support
We’ve always been impressed with the fact that Himiway backs its e-bikes with a warranty that goes beyond what most other companies offer. The Himiway Zebra comes with a 2-year warranty which provides customers with coverage in the event of a manufacturing defect. For added peace of mind, Himiway also throws in a 15-day return window, although a 10% restocking fee is charged in addition to return shipping charges.
You can reach Himiway by calling the toll-free phone number listed on the brand’s website. Additionally, you can contact the company by emailing them or sending a private message to any of its social media accounts.
As far Himiway’s customer service goes, there have been some complaints about the responsiveness of the company’s customer support department and also the timeliness of its product fulfillment. With that said, it’s important to remember that there have been major supply chain issues over the past year or two and many e-bike companies are having challenges when it comes to fulfilling customer orders. Secondly, Himiway is located overseas and in our experience, customer service is generally a little slower to respond when compared to US-based brands.
Lastly, whenever we do electric bicycle reviews, we always contact the brand firsthand to test the responsiveness of its customer support. In our experience, Himiway was fairly quick to respond, sending us a same-day reply to our email inquiry…
Reader Reviews
One of the best looking bikes…
Haven’t opened the box yet but am really impressed so far with Himiway’s excellent customer support. I ordered my Himiway Zebra Step-Thru around 1:30 AM Wednesday morning and received it at 10:30 AM Thursday morning! Unbelievably short delivery time! Can’t wait to get it assembled and try it out! One of the best looking bikes, bar nun, I’ve ever seen!
Only allows 25 mph…
Would be a 5 but the speed limiter only allows 25 MPH. My 2021 CRUISER is much faster.
Refusing to refund my money…
I purchased a new Zebra stepthru from Himiway of Montibello CA. 323-303-3115. Upon arrival the front forks were bent sideways. In other words, if you push this bike in a straight line, there are two tracks in the dirt. I received it on Friday 8/19/22 and today 8/26/22 Himiway still is refusing to refund my money. They want to send me a new set of forks and have me fix it. I suggest you purchase your bike from a more reputable company than Himiway.*** Do you know of a main, centralized Himiway office in the United States where I can send my new bent bike pictures so that I might get a refund. Himiway has already acknowledged that the bike is deformed beyond use. The new bike says 1 mile on it.

Final Thoughts
Overall, we’re very happy with the Himiway Zebra and think it’s a great choice for riders who are shopping around for a well-built fat tire e-bike that delivers power, range, and comfort in spades. The Zebra is an easy bike to ride and the stylish frame design, handsome rear rack, and comfortable geometry make it a good choice for everyday use.
As mentioned, we’re also impressed with the 2-year warranty coverage that Himiway provides on the bike. Most electric bicycle manufacturers only provide warranty coverage for the first year, so having two full years is nice for added peace of mind.
At the end of the day, if you’re looking for a super fun e-bike that can pretty much take you anywhere, Himiway’s all-terrain Zebra is a solid choice.
