Cyrusher Kommoda Review: E-Bike Overview
A fat tire e-bike that stands out from the crowd, the Kommoda rolls on 20-inch puncture-resistant tires and features a handsome step-thru frame for easy mounting and dismounting. Available in four eye-catching colorways, the Kommoda is a head-turning model that’s packed with useful features and is capable of delivering impressive performance.
Powered by a 750W rear hub motor that kicks out 1000W of peak power and 80Nm of torque, the Kommoda provides riders with the speed and power needed to tackle hilly terrain and challenging off-road surfaces. Whether making use of the bike’s various pedal-assist levels or utilizing the pedal-free throttle mode, the Kommoda offers next-level fun.
The Kommoda’s overall ride quality is excellent, thanks to the rear shock and front moto-inspired suspension fork (similar to what was used on the top-of-the-line Cyrusher XF900 model). The full suspension setup does a great job of dampening bumps and smoothing out rough terrain, while the 20-inch fat tires provide riders with the grip needed to tackle muddy trails, snow, sand, gravel, and more.
Shifting on the bike is smooth, thanks to the SHIMANO components, and the integrated front and rear lighting provides excellent nighttime visibility and improved safety. The fully-programmable 3.7″ KING-METER color LCD is also very nice, providing riders with an easy-to-read layout of important data. Unfortunately, the included display doesn’t come with a USB charging port which is a downside for us.
As we’ve also seen on Cyrusher’s new Kuattro e-bike, the Kommoda’s removable 48V 14Ah waterproof battery is integrated neatly into the bike’s downtube and delivers up to 50 miles of range. While this is definitely respectable, we wish Cyrusher had gone with a higher-capacity battery, especially given the Kommoda’s price point.
Lastly, the 180mm Zoom hydraulic disc brakes provide serious stopping power — something that’s a necessity with heavy bikes like the Kommoda.
Size and Weight
The Kommoda weighs in at a hefty 74 lbs and the bike is 65.4″ long with a 45.6″ wheelbase. This is a heavy electric bike and it may be challenging for some riders to load, so if size and weight are a concern, we definitely recommend checking out the lighter Cyrusher XF650 (61 lbs) or the folding XF690 Maxs. The Kommoda’s saddle is adjustable from 31.5″ to 41.5″ and the bike has a max payload capacity of 330 lbs.

Performance and Ride
As mentioned, the Kommoda’s ride quality is top-shelf, thanks to the full-suspension setup, beefy 20″ fat tires, and comfy, upright geometry. A great choice for riders who need a bike that can pretty much handle it all, the Kommoda is extremely nimble, easy to maneuver, and comfortable. Packing plenty of power for uphill riding and off-road exploration, the Kommoda comes well-equipped for everything from trail riding adventures to around-town commutes (if you’re looking for something that can handle even more challenging off-road conditions, we recommend checking out Cyrusher’s XF800 electric mountain bike).
Build Quality
Cyrusher’s electric bikes are known for being well-built, and the Kommoda is no exception. The bike is well-constructed and arrives nicely packed from the factory. The included componentry is solid, and if and when a problem does arise, Cyrusher is known to do a good job of sorting things out in a timely fashion.
Appearance
The Kommoda is an attention-getting e-bike. With its bold colorways, chunky tires, front and rear suspension, and rear rack, this is a ride that’s guaranteed to be noticed wherever you’re riding. At the moment, the Kommoda is offered in Orange, White, Blue, and Gray, and although we think it looks great in each color, Gray comes away as the winner in our opinion.
